Well hello Mr Neglected blog. It seems that you have become my travel blog, completely forgotten until I travel. Well guess what, I’m traveling! 🙂 I am here in Australia for the next 3 weeks. Starting in Canberra, then off to Cairns and the Daintree Rainforest, then over to Uluru and finally Sydney. So lots of pictures to come.
So apparently this is a thing? Lol, glad I had my hat on
Inside the National War Memorial. A beautiful spot with the eternal flame in a pond.
They have the name of every soldier killed in any Australian battle on the walls covered in poppies, in the background is the voices of children reading the names and ages.
Stain glass in the tomb of the unknown soldier
The skylight in the tomb
I found this one very touching, a memorial to dogs lost in battle
I know over the next few weeks I am going to see lots of birds but this is the most colourful I have ever seen.
So everything here will kill you. Apparently so will walking.
Top of Mt Ainslie looking down on Canberra. The war memorial in the foreground and parliament across the lake.
My first kangerro and he’s a slack and lazy ass. Just laying around. Come on Karl, you had one job, entertain the tourists!
Termite hill, I decided to stay away
A statue to the army.
Not sure what message they are trying to get across? 🙂
